PSI seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Party-Integrated Health Social Marketing. The candidate will provide effective leadership and strategic management of all PSI/Mozambique's Integrated Health Social Marketing Program and its flagship brand - PorTi with components in the areas of HIV/ AIDS, Social and Reproductive Health, WASH, nutrition and malaria. This full-time position is based in Maputo, Mozambique and reports to the Country Representative.
Duties
- Provide leadership for PSI/Mozambique's program management and implementation of the USAID funded Integrated Health Social Marketing program
- Develop and lead PorTi strategy
- Provide technical leadership, and oversee project implementation and monitoring of activities to meet performance targets
- Manage project staff and supervise partner organizations and sub-grantees
- Act as key liaison with USAID and other stakeholders
- Ensure donor contract compliance, financial management and high quality donor reporting
- Ensure project logical frameworks are developed using PSI's applicable standards and monitor their performance
- Ensure the development of research briefs and use research results to identify priorities and drive intervention strategies in relevant areas
- Function within a fully integrated structure by ensuring continuous coordination with relevant project, technical and operational teams
- Identify market needs and new opportunities and develop strategies that would ensure reliable testing and scalability
- Identify and pursue opportunities to implement and further develop existing innovations, as well as new ones
Requisites
- Masters Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- At least four years of INGO work experience in a developing country
- Experience managing USAID funded projects, including managing a diverse team
- Excellent relationship management skills, proactivity, diplomacy and confidence
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated program management experience
- Familiarity with international health, development issues and the international donor community
- Technical expertise in the area of social marketing, HIV, reproductive health, maternal and/or child health
- Excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent leadership, coordination and multi-tasking skills
- Agility, Tech-savvyness
- Fluency in spoken and written English and at least one romance language (ideally Portuguese), willingness to learn Portuguese
- Preference will be given to candidates with exceptional diplomatic skills and an understanding of PSI country platform contexts and operating realities
