SAT is recruiting a Country Coordinator - Break Free Program Mozambique (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique with programmes running in Mogovolas.
Description
  • We seek a Country Coordinator - Break Free Program Mozambique who will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the BF! Programme in Mozambique. The successful candidate will have strong management skills as well as relevant experience implementing SRHR programmes
Duties
  • Coordination of the Break- Free Project for effective and efficient achievement of programme objectives in Mozambique
  • Coordinate country programme implementation in cooperation with BF! Partners involved by initiating (quarterly) coordination/monitoring meetings with the BF! Consortium partners in-country
  • Be the SAT Mozambique BF! Project Manager
  • Coordinate processes of partner selection, capacity strengthening, joint communication and advocacy for BF! in Mozambique
  • Coordinate, contact and joint representation with other local key stakeholders in cooperation with other in-country consortium organizations
  • Ensure quality and timely reporting on progress and results
Requisites
  • The ideal candidate must have:
  • Degree in Social Sciences
  • Advanced degree in social science will be an advantage
  • Must be bilingual English and Portuguese
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Grants Management
  • Advantageous:
  • Experience working with Regional Economic Communities and/or the African Union
  • Experience working in a multi-partner consortium
  • SRHR Programming for Adolescents and young Adults experience
  • HIV and AIDs programming experience

  • SRHR Africa Trust (SAT) supports adolescents and young people in southern Africa to walk healthy, happy, confident, and safe pathways to adulthood. We are a 30 year old NGO, focused on young people, SRHR, and the drivers of adolescent health and wellness. All our programming is with young people and through young people, and our Youth Hubs and partner organizations link young people to one another, as well as linking them to health services, governments, the African Union Commission and global agencies.
  • As of the 1st of January 2021 SAT forms one third of a Consortium called Break-free! (BF!) along with Plan International and Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE). The strategic programme objective (SPO) of the Break Free! Consortium is for adolescents to exercise their right to live free from Teenage Pregnancy (TP) and Child Marriage (CM), supported by civil society. The SPO will be implemented in nine (9) countries: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Sudan and Zambia, as well as at the regional and continental level. The Break Free! Programme is funded by the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and will run between the years 2021 – 2025.
