We seek qualified candidates for the position of Country Director, in Maputo.
Duties
- The Country Director will provide leadership in management oversight for the FHI 360’s complex portfolio of programs in the Mozambique, including 6 major USAID-funded programs in health, and supervises the Project Directors of these projects
- Oversees operations and is the primary company representative for the country
- Ensures strong collaboration with local government, donors and sponsors
- Primary FHI 360 representative with external donors/sponsors and Mozambique government, and leads company business and resource development efforts in country
- Manages the development and implementation process of company’s services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects
- Works closely with cross-sector leadership in country and in HQ to facilitate and manage the integration process for diverse program areas (health, nutrition, capacity development, education, etc.)
Requisites
- BS/BA/MPA/MBA or equivalent degree with over 11-13 years of relevant experience in international development programs
- Demonstrated experience in leading large multi-sector teams and diversifying and expanding the funding base
- Overseas field experience required
- Multi-sectorial experience in the areas of healthcare, economic development, public health, and education required
