Credit Manager (m/f)

Duties

• Responsible for the development and implementation of the credit and terms of trade strategy for the company, ensuring it is relevant to the marketplace and properly executed in the Regions, CIC and SSC
• This strategy needs to be continually aligned to changing market conditions
• Custodian of the company´s credit policy and best operating practices and ensuring updated and aligned to the overall company´s strategy and in line with the National Credit Act
• Understand the positive & negative impact of credit dealing on volume, margin, operational effectiveness, competitor activity , in trade forward share and operational effectiveness of depots, to provide proactive decision-making support to S&DOC, GMs and Regions in assessing decisions
• Coordination of the credit function within company between regions, CIC and SSC
• Monitoring of overall beer division credit and debtors book status, identify gaps and define corrective actions for CIC, SSC and Regions
• Assume shared accountability with the regions, CIC and SSC for the credit book status
• Formulate and manage Service level agreements with all stakeholders (Regions, CIC and SSC) and put corrective steps in place
• Design and implement reporting and scorecard to manage KPIs
• Shared responsibility for monthly reporting and actual monitoring of KPIs with regions, CIC and SSC

Requisites

• BComm or relevant Finance or other qualification
• Minimum 4 years credit/business management experience at a senior level
• SAP R/3 essential and/or CRM experience (advantageous)
• Credit specific qualifications beneficial
• Superior knowledge of the NCA
• Superior knowledge of the customer credit risk environment and decision-making Tools
• Sound financial skills
• Understanding of legal matters relating to collections
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• SAP R/3 essential and/or CRM experience (advantageous)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sound business acumen
• People management/leadership experience
