AECOM is currently seeking a Deputy Chief of Party/Senior Technical Advisor to support a proposal for the USAID sponsored CCAP. CCAP is designed to increase urban coastal resiliency to climate change by incorporating climate change into their planning processes and undertaking adaptive measures in response to capacity building activities, performance-based incentives and public advocacy in targeted municipalities.
Duties
- Design and implementation of program management tasks (i.e., budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and other reporting) related to municipal climate change adaptation capacity building, service delivery, and/or access to risk management and risk sharing tools, as well as technical program implementation
- Provide technical leadership for and overall supervision of field staff directly contracted by the program
Requisites
- Master’s Degree in urban planning, natural resources management, environmental studies, civil engineering, public administration or another relevant field or a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 additional years of experience in the above areas
- At least 5 years of experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, or other relevant experience
- At least 7 years of experience working overseas
- Citizens of Mozambique are highly encouraged to apply
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required
