Eletrician

Twigg Exploration & Mining, LDA is recruiting a Eletrician, to be based in Balama - Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Duties

• Conduct take 5 and job hazard analysis assessments on work activities as required
• Report all Hazards, Incidents and Near Misses in line with Company Policies and procedures
• Ensure own and others fitness for work at all times and report non-compliance as soon as practicable
• Undertake daily work area inspections and report faults/issues to Maintenance Supervisor immediately
• Participate in shift handover activities as required
• Conduct pre-start and post-operational checks on all plant and equipment
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly planned maintenance works in line with maintenance plan/strategy
• Test electrical circuitry to diagnose faults using various testing equipment
• Perform plant isolation in line with the approved procedure and test for dead prior to commencing all maintenance activities
• Interpret electrical schematics as required to facilitate the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
• Contribute to root-cause analysis reviews as required
• Carry out High Voltage switching activities as required
• Conduct power line corridor, transformer, generator, gearbox inspections as required Undertake PLC controls wiring and programming as required
• Undertake lanyard and emergency stop testing as required
• Grease electrical motors as required
• Complete filter and coil cleans of air conditioning systems as required
• Ensure all isolation and tagging requirements are adhered to at all times
• Actively pursue maintenance related training opportunities in line with defined Electrical Technician competencies
• Adhere to all company values, policies and procedures and encourage others do the same
• Conduct motor testing and change-out activities as required

Requisites

• Minimum 3 year post trade experience conducting diagnosis and maintenance activities in a in a fixed plant mineral processing environment
• Electrical Trade certification (or equivalent)
• Instrumentation Trade certification (or equivalent) highly desirable
• Proven high voltage switching experience
• Isolation Officer experience highly desirable
• Proven exposure to and use of safe systems of work-e.g. risk management, incident reporting
• Confined space and working at heights tickets
• Sound Portuguese literacy skills-verbal and written
• English literacy skills highly desirable
• Ability to follow instructions and work according to production schedules
• Basic computer literacy is desirable
• Ability to work in a team environment and share information as required
