BHP Billiton is recruiting a Engineer Modification & Small Projects, to be based in Boane.
Duties
- Manage allocated and approved Modifications and Small Projects to the defined scope, budget, schedule, standards and specifications follow and are executed in Accordance/Compliance with relevant processes/standards to Group/CSG/Asset level requirements and relevant internal and external standards
- Handover modifications/changes incurred on these projects to the operation/client and ensure all relevant change control documentation has been updated to as-built status and provided to the standards & change control sub-function
- Ensure that relevant 1SAP Master Data changes are initiated and operating procedures are updated where required
- Make sure the Modifications & Small Projects employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work
- Take shared accountability for the performance of the Modification & Small Projects, promote operational discipline in work execution by making sure that quality of completed tasks and enhance technical knowledge of other team members
- The main purpose of this role is to co-ordinate and control projects, developments, improvements and modifications of an engineering nature by complying with relevant Mozal procedures, general engineering principles and standards in order to ensure the implementation of safe, practical and cost effective solutions
Requisites
- Serious contenders will have a Bachelor's Degree or BSc or BTech or National Higher Diploma or equivalent in Engineering Electrical/Mechanical with at least 2 years' experience in Engineering/Production or Project Management areas
- Other technical certificates with a proven record of performance and Exposure to an industrial environment is an advantage
