Executive Personal Chef (m/f)

Description

• Key responsibilities: Responsible for planning and preparing meals in a private home according to the determined employer’s tastes and dietary needs. Additionally, will order/buy groceries and supplies, clean the kitchen, and wash dishes and utensils. Also plans and organizes the catering for parties, holiday meals, luncheons, and other social events for large groups of up to 100 persons

Duties

• Plan menus according to employers' needs and dietary restrictions
• Shop for or order food and kitchen supplies and equipment
• Order materials, supplies, or equipment
• Peel, wash, trim, and cook vegetables and meats, and bake breads and pastries
• Prepare foods for cooking or serving
• Prepare breads or doughs
• Prepare/cook meals in private home according to employers' recipes or tastes, handling all meals for the family and possibly for other household staff
• Stock, organize, and clean kitchens and cooking utensils
• Store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas
• Direct the operation and organization of kitchens and all food-related activities, including the presentation and serving of food
• Coordinate activities of other household staff including contract service staff
• Specialize in preparing fancy dishes or food for special diets
• Create and explore new cuisines and recipes
• Plan and prepare food for parties, holiday meals, luncheons, special functions, and other social events
• Plan special events
• Serve meals and snacks to employing families and their guests
• Serve food or beverages
• Works alongside other staff to provide meal preparation at the different events and locations

Requisites

• Completion of High school or Equivalent education
• At least 3 years’ experience as an assistant cook in a Hotel or well-known restaurant
• Submit ID/DIRE/Work permit
• Submit Curriculum Vitae in English
