Chemonics is recruiting a Ferramenta Central Data Visibility Advisor (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- The overall goal of GHSC-PSM is to procure and provide health commodities for all USAID health programs, including but not limited to, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Family Planning, and Maternal & Child Health, as well as provide systems strengthening technical assistance to improve supply chain management and commodity security in Mozambique
- The FC Data Visibility Advisor will be responsible for assisting the Ministry of Health/CMAM to successfully implement and maintain Ferramenta Central (FC) software; support the development and implementation of different visualizations and Dashboards; and promote the use of data to inform and guide decision making
- Supervision: The Data Visibility Advisor will report directly to the Ferramenta Central Manager
- Working Conditions/Duration of Assignment: This is a long-term position for the life of the contract based in Maputo, Mozambique
Duties
- Provide L2 support for Ferramenta Central, OpenLMIS and SIMAM users
- Support the development and maintenance of Ferramenta Central tool
- Promote the use of data to inform and guide decision making by continually identifying gaps and assist on the developing of corrective actions as needed
- Facilitate the collaborative development of user requirements, including business process mapping, developing use cases, and translating CMAM needs into functional requirements
- Ensure the integrity confidentiality of the information under their management
- Support in the use of data for decision making
- Monitor processes of data collection, storage, analysis, and presentation
- Support the design, develop and execute new data analysis policies
- Support the development and implementation of different visualizations and Dashboards
- Work with multiple data sources and databases
- Build and verify new data models that aid decision-making
- Constantly support the analysis of business performance and processes
- Work with technical teams to build/improve data analytics and business intelligence techniques
- Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all office rules and procedures as set forth in the field office policy manual
- Maintain good IT management practices
- Support achievement of the overall project goals as required to ensure project performance
- Perform other tasks as directed by Ferramenta Central Manager
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology or relevant field required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience designing and coordinating large-scale MIS programs required; Skilled in leading and managing IT projects
- Relevant experience specifically related to web-based systems and business intelligence, strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience for designing, managing, and implementing donor-funded MIS programs in developing countries or low-resource settings
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C# or C++ and architectures, such as microservices, SOA and distributed systems
- Experience with data management techniques
- Experience working on an USAID or donor-funded project preferred
- Experience with CMAM supply chain and CMAM LMIS/WMS preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Business analysis experience, to include requirements gathering, gap analysis, and process flow mapping
- Ability to work with cooperating partners and vendors in implementing complex programs
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English is required
