CESVI is recruiting Field Officers (m/f), to be based in Nhamatanda, Mozambique.
Duties
- Conducts community awareness raising tasks in advance to ensure project objectives and activity planning and scheduling is clear
- Facilitates and oversees input distributions to ensure they are conducted in an orderly manner, and that key documents such as distribution lists and stock reports are reconciled
- Organizes community works conducted as part of cash for work programmes, and ensures key documentation such as attendance sheets are completed
- Facilitates implementation of other programme activities as required, such as training or community sensitization sessions, or emergency response activities
- Conducts beneficiary and activity monitoring tasks as per the request of the Project Manager
- Provides daily and weekly narrative progress update reports and contributes to development of formal project reports as requested
- Ensures that Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functioning and accessible to all community members
- Acts as main focal point for community leaders, representatives, beneficiaries to share information on project plans, solicit community feedback, and update the Project Manager accordingly
- Fully complies with security plans and protocols and code of conduct
Requisites
- Experience in community liaison or client-facing roles is a must, ideally with humanitarian agencies
- Fluency in spoken and written Portuguese is a must
- Experience of managing input distribution activities with humanitarian agencies is desired
- Experience of cash for work or food for asset activities with humanitarian agencies is desired
- Knowledge of Nhamatanda District and particularly Bebedo and Nhampoca localities desired
- Good command of Sena and Ndau is desired
- Good command of English is desired
- Good command of Microsoft Excel, Word is desired
- Ownership of motorbike driver license is desired
