AMOG is recruiting a Finance Administrator (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- AMOG is a private, scientific, nonprofit organization with social interest and whose main purpose is to congregate and represent the medical professionals with specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. According to its constitution, AMOG proposes to achieve this by : (a) promoting the study, research and discussion on the topics related to obstetrics and gynecology and other connected activities; (b) promoting meetings, symposiums, courses, congresses and other scientific activities on topics within the scope of this specialty; (c) establishing contests to stimulate AMOG members to update their technical professional knowledge; (d) overseeing the ethical aspects of the profession; (e) promoting, according to its capacity, the defense of professional interest of its members, and what they can do to perform their professional activities in adequate conditions; (f) exerting efforts in order to keep a healthy relationship, not only with the Mozambican Medical Association, but also with all national and international professional associations with similar interest; (g) stimulating and promoting research and teaching activities; and (h) supporting and disseminating technological knowledge and scientific publications
Duties
- Verification of accounting documentation
- Ensures timely and adequate presentation of accounting documents and records in accordance with AMOG's policies and procedures
- Make the reconciliations (Cash, bank)
- Management of physical and electronic files
- Supports financial reporting/external audit
- Keep the Treasurer informed as a technical supervisor
- Performs any other function assigned by the Project Manager/Treasurer
Requisites
- Medium level course in accounting or related experience
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Computer skills, especially Excel and Word
- Must demonstrate mastery of computer skills in Excel for budgeting and jobs
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written Portuguese and knowledge of the English language is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the Mozambican banking and finance system
- Have worked for at least 5 years in the financial management of projects
- Working in NGOs
