Aldelia is recruiting a Finance Assistant (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Ensure shipments invoices are sent to RSSC accounts payables controller to be posted prior to any payments to be made
- Ensure all vendor invoices are posted in time
- Send emails to suppliers requesting the statement for verification and ensuring that all invoices are accounted
- Sending pop after payment with the list of invoices paid and slicing updated statement
- Control Petty Cash
- Deal with Intercompany, processing WHT and payment to supplier
- VAT process – ensure that all invoices are sent to TAX consultants
- CW1 Report – Control accruals, ensure invoices are posted in time
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
Requisites
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or any related field
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as finance assistant
- Computer Skills (Outlook, Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access Power point)
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures in a timely manner
- Fluent in English language written and spoken
