Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Finance Director, to be based in Manica.
Duties
- Overall control of the accounting function, financial transactions and accounting matters and management of financial risk
- Manage the financial accounting (Pastel), monitoring and reporting systems and ensure the production of accurate and timely financial reports. Make recommendations to improve those systems and processes
- Formulate strategic and long-term business plans and financial targets
- Formulate and manage budgets and budgeting process and monitor and manage compliance with budgets by individual departments
- Develop financial management policies, procedures and internal controls that minimise financial risk and monitor that company/employees are operating in compliance with such policies
- Monitor liquidity, borrowings and cash flows to ensure that the company has sufficient cash resources to continue operating and arrange new sources of finance as required
- Manage relationship with auditors and ensure that the annual audit is carried out and signed financial statements are produced on timely basis
- Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all the company’s financial affairs
- Financial planning, analysis of financial information and provision of advice for the Managing Director and other senior management on strategic and commercial decisions and other factors influencing business performance
- Development and supervision of the finance function, including the optimum organisational structure and recruitment and training of employees
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers, statutory organisations, customers and suppliers
- Corporate finance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions, as appropriate
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
Requisites
- Degree-level education
- Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification
- Minimum of five years’ experience in finance, with at least two years in senior management
- Experience in developing a finance function in a rapidly growing business and in managing the finance team
- Hands-on, self-starter, used to dynamic and challenging environment and working in developing countries
- Advanced computer skills
