CBE is recruiting a Finance Manager (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Management and oversight of Clients/Debtors, Treasury, GL & Tax, Value Chain and Stores:
- Sector Supervisors are organizing the workload of their teams in order to achieve the required work output OTIF
- Ensuring the validity, accuracy and compliance of transactions into the ERP system:
- Transactions processing complies with Mozambican PGC-NIRF and Premier Policies
- Ensure corrections and recommendations from external and internal audits/reviews are executed
- Reporting: Review key financial reports produced by subordinates
- Reports must be accurate and free of misstatement to the extent that a person is not led to take a wrong management decision
- Coordinate peer reviews, internal and external audits:
- Liaise with audit team leader to ensure that all requirements are completed satisfactorily
- Implement corrective action from audit findings
- General personnel management
Requisites
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting as main final year subject
- Complementary subjects such as Cost & Management Accounting and Tax, Audit are preferred
- Additional subjects such as Commercial Law and Business Economics are advantages
- Thorough knowledge of PGC-NIRF
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards advantageous
- Operational/transactional experience of a major ERP system
- Constructing and working on complicated, multi-page Excel workbooks using complicated functions
- At least 7 years professional work experience
- Last 3 years in supervisory role of large department, preferably supervising supervisors (of other staff)
- Manufacturing industry experience essential (raw material or components worked through a plant resulting in a final product)
- Food industry experience preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in producing middle to high level business reports
