Financial Controller

Hotel ParkInn by Radisson Tete is recruiting a Financial Controller, to be based in Tete, Mozambique.

Duties

• The Financial Controller is responsible for all hotel accounting and financial controls under the supervision of the General Manager
• In addition, the job incumbent controls the overall hotel costs by managing the purchasing function
• The function should be proactive, analyzing, and recommending alternative action in every respect, and operate in line with hotel and corporate policies and guidelines, and the hotel’s business plan

Requisites

• Advanced degree in accounting (ACCA - Advantage) or any Financial related course
• Over 10 years of progressive experience as a Financial Controller or on a similar position
• Proven supervisory experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting and other software user and administration skills (SAGE ACCPAC, APERA, SAP, MICROS, MATERIALS CONTROL and Others)
• Previous Hotel Experience (Advantage)
