Fire Fighter (m/f)

Duties

• Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively within GSO operation and projects areas
• Drive emergency vehicle to incident scene safely
• Assess the situation as a first responder. Isolate fires and valves
• Contain leaking equipment and protect un-affected plant equipment to mitigate huge damages/losses
• Search and rescue affected personnel in the fire area. Administer first-aid activities
• Assume the role of incident commander (e.g. quickly develop incident objectives; manage incident operations and application of resources)
• Fight grass fires and fire resulting from gas/hydrocarbon liquids
• Operate the fire engine, position and connect fire hoses, activate fire hydrants and foam units, and use fire hoses and fire equipment to extinguish fires
• Inspect firefighting equipment (e.g. foam units, fire extinguishers, and hydrants) as well as emergency equipment and vehicles. Service and maintain emergency and fire-fighting equipment. Re-fill extinguishers and SCBA
• Conduct drills and training in firefighting, the use of a fire extinguisher, inspection and use of SCBA, and firs-level safety. Take safety precautions in emergencies. Prioritize personal safety and complete specified PPE
• Develop rescue plans for execution of various tasks. Stand by rescue duties on critical tasks
• Report the results of call-outs attended accurately
• Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
• Implement Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders to raise awareness and reduce damages resulting from fires
• Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals

Requisites

• High School/School Diploma or similar
• 4+ relevant years
