PRI is recruiting a FMCG Sales Director, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Ensure short term and long-term sales and profit targets are met. Drive sales, customer contribution and profit of the Mozambique business
- Effectively lead and further develop the Sales Team to ensure continued success and nurture the benefits of cross functional work
- Build a strong Sales team that provides insight and feeds into the overall vision and strategy, supporting the GM in terms of future business strategy
- Develop and implement customer strategy which adheres to the overall company strategy whilst working closely with other functions, i.e. Marketing, Trade and Category Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.
- Build the relationships with customers to provide a sound platform for the business and its future sales development in premium beauty categories
- Improve trade terms which satisfy the Company’s business metrics, following the trade term strategy and customer segmentation and fully implement this with all customers
- Responsible for playing an active role within the trade term negotiations
Requisites
- BSc/BA hons degree or equivalent
- 5-7 years relevant experience in sales functions preferably in the FMCG or/and the cosmetic business
- Knowledge of Mozambique trade, Working knowledge of the competitive set and challenges ahead for the brands and categories
- Established network with main trade partners / strong negotiation skills
- Proven experience in Key Account Management and developing sales team/Marketing and Cat. Management understanding
- Proven track record in developing and growing profitable business / analytical / experience in cross functional teamwork
- Brand aware, experienced in developing the strength of brands with the customers and in the market place
