Fuel Management Supervisor (m/f)

Aldelia is recruiting a Fuel Management Supervisor (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance to the Kenmare Health, Safety and Environment
  • Management manual and relevant legislation
  • Conducting daily toolbox meetings
  • Ensuring that all staff have correct PPE
  • Continually reinforcing safe work practices
  • Oversee the operations of PetroMoc on site including, fuel stock management, fuel station operations, fuel deliveries and daily reconciliation of opening and closing stocks
  • Ensure daily dip readings are done and reconciled with records of Petromoc
  • Investigate any discrepancies and exceptions on daily reporting
  • Review of any adjustments or corrections on the Fuel Management Africa (FMA) system
  • Ensure that stocked consumables and spares for the FMA system and Wialon is kept at specified levels
  • Exit procedures of contractors leaving site, to collect tags and return to IT for deactivation
  • Planning and scheduling the activities of staff
  • Supervising the work of employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
  • Review records and reports to verify details, monitor work activities and evaluate performance
  • Verifying the accuracy of data and information processed into the fuel management system
  • Providing employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes
  • Interpreting and communicating work procedures and company policies to staff Review and Issue of daily FMA reports
  • Review of deviations from acceptable tolerance levels
  • Approval of all refueling outside the operating hours of the fuel station
  • Initiate, Investigate, perform RCAs and report back to management on all cases of diesel losses, anomalies and out of tolerance deviations
  • Monitor, review and take corrective action of Fuel Efficiency report
  • Compiling monthly reports (compared to Budget)
  • Ensure that all staff are trained and competent
  • Ensure that competency schedules are communicated and adhered to ensure that competency declarations occur
  • Discussing job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems
  • Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate action
  • Counselling team members regarding behavioral issues
  • Disciplining team members for behavioral/work non compliances with verbal written warnings initiates formal disciplinary processes
  • Implement safety awareness working practices and conduct on the job safety training Model the relevant safety behavior
  • Drive compliance to Kenmare Health, Safety Environment, and environmental licensing permitting requirements by implementing appropriate practices, standards and procedures
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of the required staff, and provide on the job coaching with new team members
  • Ensure that employees have clear work expectations, targets and goals to work
  • Effectively manage employee performance and create opportunities for them to gain the competence for the work required
  • Manage poor performance in line with the specific process Ensure that employees are managed in line with Kenmare Mine’s human resource plans, policies and procedures (i e leave, remuneration, disciplinary procedures etc
  • Stand in for the Control clerk or System Application Administrator during his/her absence and ensure effective handover upon his/her return
  • Contribute toward effective departmental budgeting by providing estimates on expenditures related to staff, materials, equipment, infrastructure and technology
  • Ensure adherence to financial and operational policies and procedures, and reduce wastage related to time of subordinates and utilization of materials or equipment
  • Monitor planned vs actual, and report on cost efficiency
Requisites
  • Completed Degree in Financial, Economics or Information Technology
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse department or fuel management team of which at least 1 year as a supervisor
  • Experience in the Mining Industry will be advantageous
  • Experience in the Petro Chemical Industry will be advantageous
