The Peace Corps Mozambique is seeking to hire Health Technical Trainers, to be based in Namaacha Office for a period of May to August 2014.
Duties
- Instrumental part of a Peace Corps training team
- Responsible for helping a ten-week Pre-service Training program (PST) for the Peace Corps health project mentoring the PTS/HE
Requisites
Minimum Qualifications
- If previously employed as a Peace Corps contractor, satisfactory completion of contract and positive recommendations from supervisor(s) is required
- At least five years experience in the fields of health, HIV/AIDS and/or organizational development, preferably with foreign national or international NGOs
- Ability to design and implement a training program
- Management, leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work within cross-cultural teams, including trainees and staff
- Working and living experience in a developing country, preferably in Mozambique or in the Southern Africa region
- Fluency in English; substantial language skills in another relevant
- Bachelors degree in health, organizational development, business management or a related field, or equivalent experience or training
Desirable Qualifications
- Fluency in Portuguese, English and/or Mozambican national language(s)
- Experience in community-based projects, including experience with assessment tools, project planning and design, service delivery models, and monitoring and evaluation systems
- Experience in health training
- Substantial knowledge of key health topics
- Peace Corps experience
