US Embassy is recruiting a HIV Care and Treatment Deputy Branch Chief, to be based in Maputo.

Duties
  • The job holder will serve as the Deputy Branch Chief for the HIV Care & Treatment Branch which requires public health technical leadership, results-oriented analysis, advocacy, and constant and clear communication with implementing partners, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and host country ministries on HIV care and treatment issues
  • Job holder represents CDC Mozambique on HIV care and treatment issues at technical, policy and strategic planning meetings in the field, including meetings with collaborators, donor agencies, and host government ministries
  • The job holder will also provide technical assistance and guidance to agency implementing partners to improve the quality of HIV Care and Treatment Services including: pre-ART care and treatment, ART, TB/HIV, Nutrition, Quality Improvement, and Community-Facility Linkages
Requisites
  • Medical degree - MD or host country equivalent degree is required
  • Five years of public health experience in developing, implementing and evaluating HIV care and treatment services or other relevant public health programs (this includes HIV/AIDS or other medical care, epidemiology, and infectious diseases)
