Heading is recruiting a HLO Dispatcher (m/f), to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- Ensure all helicopter flights are dispatched observing all safety regulations
- Provide necessary support to all personnel travelling by helicopter on board of the company facility
- Assist with checking-in of all the passengers, the validity of their IDs and offshore certificates, and manage any exceptions
- Liaise closely with the helicopter contractor personnel, offshore and onshore sites
- Dispatch all helicopter flights observing all safety regulations
- Maintain close liaison with onshore Aviation Operations team for day-to-day logistics planning and contingency planning for emergency situations
- Liaise closely with the helicopter contractor personnel, offshore and onshore sites
- Immediately report to his hierarchy any unsafe conditions detected during operations or unusual activities
- Assist with checking-in of all the passengers, the validity of their IDs and offshore certificates, and manage any exceptions
- Assist in the preparation of helicopter manifests
- Close the manifest after the departure of each helicopter and transmit it to correct site
- Maintain a watch on all flights and note ETAs, etc.
- Prepare for refueling periodical plan of the helicopter
- Hold the PTS Dispatcher role and operate the PTS system within their defined scope
- Provide sound support to all travelling personnel, especially if any difficulties develop at the time of check-in
- Assist in cyclone de-man/re-man management
- Advise Booking Team of no-show personnel and personnel arriving late for their flights, records all flight delays and their causes; prepare no show, flight delay and out-of-service reports and other reports required by the Aviation Operations team
- Carry out any other administrative duties as requested
Requisites
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years’ Experience in Oil and Gas Industry
- Holder of valid HLO (Helicopter Landing Officer) license
- Basic Safety Course with Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
- Training in Fire Fighting
- Fully conversant with relevant legislation, Company Rules and best practices
- Technically qualified for the position
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas plant operation
- Ship Security Awareness
- Fluent written & spoken English
