CONTACT is recruiting a HSE Method Reporting, to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- The main activities of the position are to always lead by example and promote TEPMA1 golden rules and STOP card stop work authority; onshore HSE systems and reporting data; recording / follow up / reporting of Incidents, inspections, REX, leadership tours, observations, etc, into the systems, as well as in complying with all TEPMA1 procedures and policies; develop onshore group reports and data as required (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, annual, etc.) relating to incidents, inspections, REX, leadership tours, observations, etc overall and per contractor; develop / improve existing systems and test new systems; conduct regular analysis of data trends to identify and highlight performance improvement requirements or opportunities
- Maintain an updated tracker, with actions resulting from Incidents, inspections, REX, leadership tours, observations, etc.; interact with contractor’s for actions to monitor / close them in the system, establish and update HSE procedures and processes for selecting, evaluating and monitoring contractors
- Develop and manage contractor’s monthly statistical reports (HSE leading & lagging indicator report)
- Keep up to date with industry best practices in reporting and advise the user management team; develop and disseminate HSE alert flashes
- Develop HSE communications in appropriate formats (presentations, workshops, posting, etc); manage of HSE recognition and rewards program
- Identify, update, coordinate and deliver of HSE training; assist in the review of TEPMA1 & contractor incident report; assist in the develop / review of TEPMA1 methods and systems HSE procedures
- Develop and update of onshore TEPMA1 PPE Catalogue and follow up with the store keeper; HSE Onshore procurement of goods and services (identify, create PR, etc); assist with promotion of HSE initiatives
- Assist with Portuguese translation of HSE Documents / communications; scheduling meetings, routine audits and appointments; taking notes and minutes in meetings
- Actively participate in contractor meetings/forums where required; ensure that all mandatory TEPMA1 training (LIZZY) is undertaken in line with agreed timescales; assist in parallel all Project manager and site Directors
- Implementation and awareness of HSE procedures and ensure quality of work and clearance of recommendations
- Control and record of HSE data to ensure safe performance in all contractors
Requisites
- Education: Minimum of 3 years relevant administrative experience required, in a multi-national company as preference requirement
- Full understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk
- Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence critical decisions
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills required. Portuguese or French is advantageous
