The U.S. Embassy in Maputo is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Under the supervision of the Human Resources Specialist, provides a wide range of HR services
- Portfolio includes but it is not limited to: employee evaluation reports, recruitment, accreditation, orientation, the Foreign Service Exam, and other HR services
- Manages a portfolio of Mission sections/agencies to handle their Human Resources needs
Requisites
- Two years of University level studies in human resources or business administration or Law
- Three years’ experience in Human Resources, business administration, or government administration for an international organization required
- Level IV (fluency) in speaking/reading/written English is required
- Level IV (fluency) in speaking/reading/written Portuguese is required
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide variety of clients is required
- Strong organizational skills are required to manage a number of competing tasks
- Good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail software are required
- Ability to identify problems, meet deadlines and work independently is required
