In-House Attorney

Heading Mozambique is recruiting for a client in the Telecommunication area a In-House Attorney, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Responsible for Coordinating with various departments in order to enforce the Company’s procedures and policies legally
• Collaborating with external attorneys to defend the Company's rights involved in contract negotiation, disputes settlement, and litigation, as well as, providing legal advice on the issues related to company obligations
• Providing expert legal advice to senior level management, board members, and heads of various business units, (Carrier Business, Enterprise Business, and Device Business)

Requisites

• Be licensed for law practice in Mozambique
• 3 years relevant experience, preferably gained in telecommunication industry
• Good command of English (listening, speaking & writing) and Portuguese
• Strong knowledge of Mozambique contract, tax, intellectual property, corporate, labor, immigration laws
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS and understanding of importation process
