Swisscontact is recruiting an Initial Vocational Education Training (VET) and Labour Market Insertion (LMI) Coordinator (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The VET-LMI coordinator will be responsible for:
- Establish and nurture partnerships with vocational training institutions to promote quality technical training, especially for vulnerable youth
- Strengthen capacities of training centres for entrepreneurship training/coaching
- Create partnerships between training centres, companies, institutions for internships and labour market inclusion
- Identification of potential areas of construction training in small and medium construction companies
- Involve the construction companies and educational institutions in the process of assessing competencies
- Strengthen the school-enterprise or production department in VET centres
- The incorporation of the social skills, transversal as gender and environment to train young people for life, beyond the technical aspects
- Preparation of TORs and contracts for consultants and partners in the VET/LMI areas
- Monitoring of training (technical/practical) implementation and project processes, elaboration of reports
- Documentation and dissemination of the best practices and innovations on vocational training
- Participation in forums and events to form alliances
- Participation in tender processes
Tasks and Results
- During the implementation phase the VET/LMI coordinator will participate in following tasks and contribute towards corresponding result areas:
- Establish partnerships and cooperation with Associations, construction companies, financial institutions, local governments and civil society to promote internships, access to knowledge, financing and/or labour market insertion:
- Identify/establish agreements with construction companies for internships
- Establish relationship with Banco Futuro and others for start-up financing
- Promote effective linkages between training and employability to deliver sustainable employment opportunities and incomes for both target groups
- Coordination with CNJ and other local actors to facilitate access to competence-based certification for workshop owners, employees, and workers
- Collaboration in half-year and annual reports with reliable and quality data
- Coordination and revision of reports, elaborated by partners
- Coordination of payments (in coordination with Project director) to Partners or youth
- Make cost-benefit analysis of Training
Requisites
- Over 32 years old
- Degree (completed)
- Experience working with companies non-administrative
- Experience in managing Memorandum of Understanding
- Develop Business Plans and Train Trainers
- The coordinator must have the nationality of Mozambique
- Professional with good connection to construction companies or similar qualifications
- Work experiences in the local context and/or in national, international agencies or organizations, Work experiences in Projects
- Competences in vocational training of construction sector and know how in different training systems
- Competencies and experiences in using of MS office as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
- Safe fluent speaking and writing in Portuguese and English e capacities in drafting and writing reports in Portuguese and English
