GlobalTrack Mozambique is recruiting a Installation Technician, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Performs onsite technical installation of all units timeously and according to company
- standards and procedures
- Ensures that all units are operational. Needs to look up units if they are all operational on the data base e.g. non-working units report
- Apply technical knowledge in order to advise customers on optimal use of system and units
- Regular client visits and training
- Ensures that repairs are undertaken in accordance with organisational policy and
- standards
- Performs onsite technical analysis, diagnosis, repairs and replacement of units
- Responds to queries on malfunctioning units
Requisites
- Grade 12 qualification
- General knowledge of logistics and fleet management industry
- Experience conducting mobile installations
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting tracking unit installations
- Experience in auto-electrical installations and diagnosis
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance and also as part of a
- team
- Capable of coordinating efforts and collaborate with a variety of individuals
- having conflicting schedules
- Able to complete assignments and installations with attention to details and
- high degree of accuracy
- String interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy and flexibility to work
- effectively with senior management and clients
- Required to work in an
- environment where kneeling, crouching and /or crawling is necessary
- Installs/takes out tracking units on trucks and installs/takes out fuel probes,
- work with fuel tanks and exposure to fuel
- Required license: required to be in possession of a valid SADC
- driver’s license and have own reliable transport
- Work schedule: work scheduled overtime and be available for emergency
- overtime when the need arises by responding to overtime call outs before
- and after standard schedules hours of work
- Travel: when the need arises frequent travel across South Africa and into
- Southern Africa is required
