Instrumentation & Control Technician (m/f)

Duties

• Continuously practicing safe, healthy, environmentally friendly work practices in accordance to Kenmare EHS policies and procedures
• Check all the time the availability of critical spares for concentrator
• Monitor progress against the C & I planned or set projects identify deviations and re-allocate resources where required
• Completing scheduled maintenance as per work schedules assigned and per procedure
• Prompt and thorough action with start-up, shutdowns and downtimes/plant and equipment availability
• Prompt action in case of emergencies
• Checking and analyzing work orders
• Completing regular visual inspections and test on plant & equipment
• Involvement with troubleshooting and problem solving
• Delegating work to subordinates and organizing resources
• Empower employees and emerging leaders and specialists to achieve operational excellence
• Ensure that operational problems are resolved within appropriate levels of accountability and responsibility for individuals and teams
• Effectively manage employee performance and create opportunities for them to gain the competence for the work required
• Check regularly the SCADA Redundancy
• All software done on SCADA and PLC must be accompany by Software Change Request duly signed
• Make PLC backup after any change
• Check regularly if the Historian is logging data
• Maintaining and backing up the PLC system
• Maintaining and backing up the SCADA system
• Calibrating and repairing instruments and associated equipment
• Working with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes
• Measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes
• Testing instrumentation and control systems and maintaining test equipment
• Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
• Repairing and adjusting system components or removing and replacing defective parts
• Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment
• Dredge Maintenance
• Dredge Faultfinding
• VSD Setup and faultfinding
• Densitometers calibration
• Flowmeters setup and verification
• Artisan coaching & training
• Concentrator Freeboard Testing and Maintenance

Requisites

• Bachelors Gegree in Engineering or similar technical area
• At least 5 years’ experience in Control & Instruments
• Experience with Siemens PLC, WinCC, AllenBradley PLC and FactoryView
