Motorcare is recruiting an Internal Auditor (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Overall responsibility as an employee in Motorcare, Lda:

- As an employee you are responsible for achieving the overall objectives for the company, the department and your team in cooperation with your manager
- Responsible for audit of branches accounting records and operational processes
- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans for 5 branches in Mozambique
- Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
- Organize and present meaningful detailed reports to communicate the results of an audit to company management
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document system process
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
- Maintain open communication with management
- Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
- Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
- Assist on year end Audit and supply Management Audit findings
- Assist Finance Director on implementing control procedures
- Perform Assets Register verification to physical assets and document/update Register accordingly
- Conduct Monthly Stock counts on vehicles reconciled to ledger accounts (parts and vehicle)
- Review and audit of old debtor lists to ledger accounts. Resolving of queries
- Audit of creditor listing to ledger account
- Audit Branch Creditors and all local purchases and report findings
Requisites
- Completed Accounting or Financial degree
- Strong administration skills
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Accounting software and data bases
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations in Mozambique
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
