Intragroup Manager

CBE is recruiting a Intragroup Manager, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Ensure Intra Group (IG) accounting activities for monthly reconciliations and quarterly reporting are performed within closing timeline
• Ensure metrics (Overdues, Imbalances, etc.) are achieved. Prepare Metrics Reports and work with IG Operations Manager to close any performance shortfall
• Manage relevant accounts in Soar tool as Account Supervisor; ensure aged open items are investigated, followed up and resolved
• Take ownership of relevant controls and ensure Analysts consistently comply and execute the required controls and relevant reporting requirement
• Manage Overdues by working closely with IG Bill & Pay Teams and onshore business on status of open items. Work with line manager to develop plan to clear substantial amount
• Ensure staff back up plan is in place and effective
• Identify process improvement opportunities and provide support for successful implementation -Promote sharing of knowledge among the team, cross teams and cross centre
• Provide direction to the team members and ensure a high level of customer service

Requisites

• Qualified Accountant or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting related process
• Basic knowledge in process Controls and Compliance or Similar field
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential for this position
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications, advanced Excel skills are essential
