IT – Asssitant

MultiChoice is recruiting a IT - Asssitant, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Take part in receiving troubleshoot calls, logging and resolving / escalating unresolved client complaints
• Management and maintenance of internal network
• Setting up and Configuring the office LAN network, wireless devices and other network router and ensuring that everyone can have access to it
• Installation and management of WIFI Networks
• Installation and implementation of all software as required
• Maintain the company’s servers
• Maintain and ensure software license compliance for all computers and servers
• Manage quotes and price comparisons on replacement network equipment
• Ensure that these servers are Virus Free, does not reply to SPAM
• Provide advisory service to the sales team where they need technical support in their marketing effort
• General system administration
• Documentation and filing of all Systems and Network configuration processes and procedur
• Perform regularly backup on all system and ensure that the backup tapes are kept safe

Requisites

• Degree / Diploma in Information Technology
• ITIL Certification
• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Technical understanding of principles and practices of personal computers, telecommunications and information technology
• Experience in Backup software and methodologies
• Routing protocols and policy based routing
• Wireless LAN standards and implementations
• Network security pertaining to firewall, router and WLAN implementations
• VPN, IPsec, VoIP, COBIT, ITIL, VLANs
