The Mozambican Association for promotion of Modern Cooperatives is recruiting an IT (m/f), to be based in Maputo and Nampula, Mozambique.
Description
- The Mozambican Association for promotion of Modern Cooperatives, is collaborating with TNS and INCAJU in the implementation of the CONNECTCAJU2 Project – Cooperative component, a cost-sharing initiative with Norges Vel, funded by the Norwegian Embassy, developed under the coordination of TechnoServe (TNS) and with a term of about two years, covering the provinces of Zambezia, Nampula and Cabo Delgado. The project’s planned effect on society (impact) is to contribute indirectly to the reduction of poverty in rural areas of the northern provinces of Mozambique through the creation of more sustainable jobs, increased incomes and economic growth. The AMPCM will provide additional services to Cooperative/Association farmers through a digital cooperative management platform, a Membership Management solution, that will be managed by AMPCM
- In the collaboration with Connectcaju2, AMPCM plans to hire for its working team 1 IT Professional, to be based in Maputo/Nampula
- It is intended a (1) professional capable of leading and advising AMPCM. He or she will be based in the province of Maputo/Nampula with frequent travels to Nampula/Maputo, Zambezia and Cabo Delgado to collaborate with other partners in the development and management of a digital cooperative management platform
Duties
User requirements and design specifications
- Define and manage business process analysis and documentation, in consultation with various types of user (within AMPCM cooperatives members and external), for Information and Communication Technology tasks to be carried out in coordination with the AMPCM project Manager
- Create business requirements specifications, aligning requirements of the digital cooperative management platform with CC2 platform (for the Android and Web interfaces)
- Analyze data generated by users to solve problems or produce reports
- Supervise the mapping of work processes and flow development of technological solutions to be incorporated in the digital cooperative management platform
Integration of platforms to meet CC2 Targets
- Collaborate with other IT colleagues to ensure that digital platforms performs correctly and with the appropriate performance to what was specified in the project, using the principles, good practices and standards of software engineering architecture and the best user experience/UI standards
- Implement customized solutions for ICT problems specific to the digital cooperative management platform, such as designing custom dashboards for user communities or designing functionality to be custom built
- Coordinate and communicate with service providers internal and external to the digital cooperative management platform vendors
System Management and Functionality release
- Install a system to manage the information storage process at the institutional level
- Accept responsibility for the backup files: make backup of the digital cooperative management platform data (make the recovery, transfer and disposal of data, information file according to the INCAJU needs)
- Supervise the test on the functioning of the features developed within for digital cooperative management platform (tests for verification and support in correcting the problems found)
- Supervise the installation of computer equipment, software and Android applications (check and correct equipment and system failures, proceeding with their maintenance, reconfiguration and cleaning), for ConnectCaju platform users
User Support
- Supervise and deliver the training of users in the use of the Android and Web platform
- Provide level 1 support to all users (usage or device problems, error detection and helpdesk, vendor trouble ticketing and follow-up)
- Conduct user trainings on Android and on Wed/analytics functionality to support adoption of the system facilities and collection of user feedback
- Creation of users (AMPCM and external types), and release and restriction of access to modules and options for users on the digital cooperative management platform
- Develop and update training materials and manuals on how the team should use the tools, and conduct behavioural change in relation to ICTs, in collaboration with the Project Manager of AMPCM
- Support the development of information content to be delivered to users, in collaboration with Project manager of AMPCM and INCAJU
- Support extraction of datasets as per the requirements of cooperatives and support on the analytics and visual display of data (e.g. charts, graphs)
Team integration
- The IT Technician will play a leadership role and will collaborate with TechnoServe and INCAJU IT leaders. Jointly they will interact with the different ICT service providers
- Will report at first level to the AMCPM project manager, at second level to the AMPCM director
Requisites
- Postgraduate studies in relevant studies in the areas of ICT, with an advantage in topics related to agriculture
- At least five years of relevant experience in managing ICT projects, occupying a management position
- Knowledge of Android applications and base based on data cloud
- Experience in leading and managing multicultural technical teams, creating a results-oriented environment
- Knowledge in configuration/maintenance of computer software and hardware
- Experience in Windows 7/10, Windows Server systems
- Backup and Networking experience
- Knowledge in DHCP, DNS, AD, GPO, WSUS, Firewall, VPN, Proxy and VLAN
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and Android
- Cloud Computing experience (AWS, Google Cloud) is an advantage
- Experience launching and distributing apps through the Play Store
- Experience integrating with e-commerce platforms is an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of agile delivery, systems architectures, object orientation, development standards, and Web standards
- Experience in Corporate Information Security
- English (advanced)
- Excellent time and task management skills
