IT Manager

Heading Mozambique is searching for a Client from Food Production Industry, for IT Manager to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• The incumbent will be responsible for manage and provide hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation systems
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer system operations and development
• Hire and manage information systems contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
• Recommends appropriate maintenance strategies to ensure uninterrupted systems usage and proper backup and recovery procedures are adhered to
• Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network operating system and all technology issues
• Provide orientation to users, individual training and support on request
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
• Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
• Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
• Research current and potential resources and services
• Install work stations; Connect and setup hardware
• Provide network accounts and passwords as required; Monitor security of all technology
• Input and maintain IP addresses
• Ensure compliance with the procedures of the Integrated Management System
• Perform other tasks or activities not specified above, when they are considered necessary to further the objectives of the company and the group

Requisites

• Higher degree in IT Engineering (mandatory)
• 10 years related experience in the field of Information Technology and Project Management
• Solid knowledge of ERP (Primavera)
• Strong knowledge of Programing
• Experience in Windows OS and Windows Server
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, LAN / WAN
• Solid knowledge of VOIP and TCP / IP Networks
• Knowledge of active components including Cisco network switches and routers
• Be familiar with all hardware and software and also with network operating systems
• Management and supervisory skills
• High decision making and problem solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communications skills both in Portuguese and English (mandatory)
