Ajuda Popular da Noruega is hiring a Junior Programme Officer for Maputo.
Duties
- Project Administration (Identification, Planning & Management and Policy Analysis)
- To assist in the preparation of appropriate project proposals together with the estimated budgets for such proposals in the required format
- To assist in carrying out project planning and management
- To liaise and communicate with the Program Coordinator on updates, developments and any information considered relevant to the projects and NPA’s area of work
Reports
- To assist in the preparation of periodical program reports relating to the progress of the program and compliance with time scales and deadlines
- To prepare quarterly and annual reports as required
Networking
- To liaise with government and local government officials at all levels
- To liaise with personnel of other Non-Governmental organizations with similar objectives to that of NPA or which are involved in developmental issues or issues affecting the communities with which NPA is concerned
Monitoring and Evaluation
- To assist in the dissemination of appropriate and required information
- concerning program and developmental issues
- To engage in program planning for projects and to analyze and assess all NPA program and partners projects
- To assist in the organization of capacity building training workshops with NPA staff and partners
- To identify and advise on policies that will enhance NPA’s work in the field
- To assist the preparations of the evaluations to ensure that it is within program focus
- To assist monitor and evaluate program and projects using Rights Based
- Approach (RBA) and Results Based Management (RBM) assessment tools and other appropriate analytical tools
- To prepare monitoring reports in the required format
Requisites
- Technical background in a relevant field, this position requires strong organizational and administrative skills
- The ability to present ideas and complex arguments, in writing and in oral
- presentations, in a logical and persuasive manner, is required
- This position will require effective personal-relationship building skills to establish connections with the designated national and international organizations, entities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment is required
- Strong computer skills for written document preparation (e.g. Microsoft Word, power point and others) are required
- Fluent in English is a pre-requisite
- Fluent in Portuguese is important
