- TechnoServe Mozambique is seeking a Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist to support the development and implementation of a strategy to ensure TechnoServe maximizes returns on investment in knowledge (people, processes and intellectual capital), shares best practices, encourages innovation, and promotes organizational information sharing. The Associate’s primary responsibility is to support program implementation by building and managing systems for communicating program impact and sharing knowledge. The Associate will be responsible to communicate program learnings and successes both internally and externally
Duties
- Support the design and implementation of a comprehensive knowledge and information management system and processes, especially the management of TROCA and systematic filing of program documentation
- Assist project staff, and in particular the Country Director, with developing targeted communication products and materials, including technical assistance for writing and editing presentations, speeches, blogs, journal publications, lessons learned documents, and impact reports
- Help Program Managers update their program websites and maintain record and control of web domains and associated content
- Support the dissemination of information and learning to project partners and stakeholders, including supporting the management of communication platforms such as newsletters and project websites
- Ensure communications are consistent in messaging across the program and aligned with overall goals and strategies
- Liaise with other relevant institutions and networks in the global development community on knowledge sharing lessons learnt, and best practices
- Manage the suppliers that provide services of designing, photos, videos and communications
- Support programs with design of templates ah doc activities
Requisites
- Degree in Communications or Social Sciences, emphasis on information-related aspects of organizations or equivalent experience strongly preferred
- At least 3 years relevant professional experience in knowledge management and/or communications, organizational learning and other related fields
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills; outstanding written communication skills including prior experience editing and proofreading documentsProven facilitation and collaboration skills working with multi-level stakeholders, including technical and subject matter experts, government agencies, local partners, researchers and others
- Experience with web platforms (e.g. Squarespace, Wix), electronic
communications, social media, and knowledge management principles
- Proven ability to organize and share information effectively
- Experience designing and implementing strategic communication plans, tools, and products for country-level programs and global projects
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google drive, and graphic design software (i.e Photoshop)
- Proficiency in both Portuguese and English is required
