Lab Distribution Associate

Chemonics International Inc. is recruiting a Lab Distribution Associate, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Description

• Project: Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Mozambique
• The overall goal of GHSC-PSM is to procure and provide health commodities for all USAID health programs, including but not limited to, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Family Planning, and Maternal & Child Health, as well as provide systems strengthening technical assistance to improve supply chain management and commodity security in Mozambique
• The Lab Distribution Associate serves as a primary contact with PEPFAR‐supported labs to resolve issues in product quality, availability, or reporting

Duties

• Monthly data collection (LMIS report)
• Receive and analyze the data reported from the laboratory PEPFAR supported network on a monthly basis
• To communicate with the laboratory sites to correct data and other issues and monitoring arrival of reagents and consumables procured by GHSC-PSM
• Insertion data (consumption, stock on hand) in the Labtool on monthly basis
• Update the lists (labs contacts for each lab, lab equipment) as soon as a new information is received
• Field support: Travel to lab sites to provide supportive supervision and on‐the‐job training, in collaboration with the DCL and other MOH staff in issues in supply chain management
• On regular basis, archive the different reports: LMIS reports, job-cards from the supplier/representative agent in a separated folder classified by Province and in the soft copy
• Tools to be used
• LABTOOL – LMIS system
• LMIS forms for supported lab instruments
• Ensure the back-up of the Lab Distribution Associate
• Perform other tasks as directed by Lab Distribution Manager

Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Experience working on a USAID or donor-funded project is an asset
• Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English is required
• Supervision: The Lab Distribution Associate will report directly to the Lab Distribution Manager or his/her designee
