Lab Warehousing and Distribution Advisor

Chemonics is recruiting a Lab Warehousing and Distribution Advisor, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties
  • Warehousing: Assist with the revision of the existing laboratory commodities description in the MACS system and lab items standardization (approved national list of lab products): codification and item description
  • Support CMAM with the integration of the lab products into the existing information systems (including unit price)
  • Assist CMAM warehousing team with reception control and distribution activities
  • Ensure the follow up of pre/expiry lab items with CMAM and DCL on monthly basis
  • Support CMAM with the implementation of annual physical inventory and perpetual inventory for laboratory commodities
  • Assist with volumetric data collection and analysis (including cold chain)
  • Information Systems: Ensure that MACS documentation is available for any reception and distribution of lab products
  • Assist CMAM and PSM with the availability of monthly stock and distribution reports
  • To assist with Labtool setting changes: adding laboratory, equipment or product
  • Work with IS tools including MACS, Ferramenta Central, and Labtool
  • Distribution: To assist with distribution activity of PEPFAR & GF supported items
  • To provide a technical support to CMAM/DCL in distribution plan elaboration (e.g: distribution of DBS kits)
  • Monthly data collection & Analysis (lmis report)
  • Receive and analyze the data reported from the laboratory PEPFAR supported network on a monthly basis
  • Insertion data (consumption, stock on hand) in the Labtool on monthly basis
  • Update the list (labs contacts for each lab, lab equipment) as soon as a new information comes up: name of technician, contact detaill
  • Once data is inserted into Labtool, to verify data quality and completeness
  • To ensure that data corrections are made in the Labtool and with the labs
  • Field Support: Travel to lab sites to provide supportive supervision and on‐the‐job training, in collaboration with the DCL and other MOH staff in issues in supply chain management
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working on a USAID or donor-funded project required
  • Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English is required
