CNFA is recruiting a Learning Advisor - Mozambique (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
  • CNFA is currently seeking a Learning Advisor to support its Mozambique Market Systems Activity. The position will be based in Mozambique. The Learning Advisor will work closely with all staff to ensure collaboration and learning with other activities in the Feed the Future Zone of Influence
Duties
  • Ensure the Activity includes active, intentional, and adaptive learning within and across interventions
  • Lead technical managers in the incorporation of learning into implementation and management
  • Provide strategic leadership of collaborating, learning, and adaptation (CLA) efforts, including recommendations for and evidence and data utilization in support of adaptive management
  • Implement diverse and adaptive learning and knowledge sharing activities within and outside of the project
  • Facilitate collaboration with external stakeholders including host country government, international donors, multilateral organizations, and the private sector
  • Lead and facilitate activities that promote stakeholder peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing and application
  • Ensure that adaptive learning is used within and across interventions
  • Ensure appropriate and continued coordination and joint-planning with other USAID and other donor activities, host-government initiatives, and private sector engagement
  • Develop knowledge sharing tools, methods, and applications and strengthen team capacity in CLA program management
Requisites
  • Master's degree in related field is highly preferred
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, including experience in the integration of CLA techniques into management approaches is required
  • Experience implementing USAID programming in Mozambique or similar country context preferred
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of external stakeholders including the host country government, international donors, and private sector required
  • Experience developing and applying resources to create, capture, organize, and share knowledge across technical sectors required
  • Experience with intentional and adaptive learning across activities with multiple donors and private investors required
  • Experience facilitating peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing and application, activity-based capacity strengthening, evidence and data utilization, and CLA required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural, livelihoods, and/or food security programming preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing dynamic feedback systems to capture experiential learning and unintended consequences preferred
  • Demonstrated experience fostering collaboration across teams or organizations is required
  • Experience working on USAID or other donor-funded projects of similar scope/size, preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong English and Portuguese oral, reading, and writing proficiency required, knowledge of local languages preferred but not required
