Lubrication Technician

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Lubrication Technician, to be based in Beira.

Duties

• The Lubrication Technician serves as support staff to the Operation department, Monitoring and lubrication of fixed equipment, and Responsible for Monitoring and lubrication of all conveyor systems, Stackers, Ship loaders, water pumps and motors
• Carry out maintenance lubrication activities on the equipment assigned to Nectar as per the maintenance schedules in place
• Observe and make recommendations to the Supervisor on any maintenance issues and potential problems
• Be proactive in reporting potential issues
• Carry out daily lubrication checks on equipment as required
• Ensure full compliance with PPE and safety measures established in the terminal by the maintenance team
• Maintain housekeeping standard across the terminal

Requisites

• Technical degree in related field with a minimum of two or three (2-3) years’ experience on industrial environment, in a similar capacity or a similar role in Africa
• Practical experience of carrying out schedule and preventative lubrication activities in an industrial environment
• Knowledge and experience of oils and grease properties
• Knowledge and experience of use of different oils and greases under different applications and environments
• A thorough understanding of industry standard safety regulations
• Analytical & troubleshooting experience in a process environment
• Working knowledge of computer software to include, but not limited to, word-processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation packages, i.e., Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Be able to work under pressure
• Be able to multi-task
• Great attention to detail
