Managing Director

Description

• The Managing Director will have the overall responsibility for ensuring the business expansion across the country through strategic visioning, establishment, and implementation of proper systems, process, and procedures. The position will oversee the integration of all issues of administration, operations, sales, and marketing. This must be achieved while enabling good internal management and governance practices and manage the business in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Duties

• Collaborate with the board to define and articulate the organization’s vision
• Conceptualize, develop, present, implement and monitor strategies for ensuring the required long‐term shareholder returns are realized
• Develop annual objectives and operating plans supporting the strategic direction agreed by the board
• Create and maintain procedures for implementing plans approved by the board
• Ensure that all the business resources are managed within budget guidelines according to current legislation and regulations
• Effectively reporting on monthly basis to the board on the status of the business performance relative to the agreed objectives and compliance
• Oversee the implementation of the HR Strategy ensuring the recruitment, development, and retention of key management and leadership skills within the organization
• Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance and rewards productivity

Requisites

• Minimum higher education degree in Engineering or BSc in Management (Possession of a qualification in Business, Leadership, Finance or MBA will be an advantage)
• Must have at least 10 to 15 years’ experience in the food industry, especially, with hands‐on experience in the bakery industry
