PSI is recruiting a M&E Coordinator, to be based in Sofala Province, Buzi and Nhamatanda districts, Mozambique.
Duties
- Develop the MELP for the project including systems to make it properly capture the innovative process as well as program impacts
- Design and develop monitoring and evaluation tools and systems
- Develop data flow patterns that will ensure timely data collection and reporting
- Organize and deliver M&E training for project staff and implementing partner
- Oversee data entry and processing as required
- Manage program databases to ensure timely updates, maintain data quality, facilitate information sharing, and promote learning
- Conduct regular field visits to support M&E implementation and identify necessary adaptations
- Provide regular data analysis and interpretations to the program team,
assisting in assessing progress and recommending project adjustments
- Compile progress reports for the project team, adhering to approved format and schedules for submission to relevant bodies
- Implement data quality assurance (DQA) protocols and procedures to
routinely validate the quality and reliability of all routine data and data sources
- As needed, coordinate with local research agency partner subcontracted to conduct project evaluations
Learning & Program Improvement
- Support the documentation of lessons learned and success stories within the MBS project, including using high-impact data visualizations
- Actively raise potential risks to project implementation or success to Program Manager in a timely and transparent manner
- Work with Project SMT, M&E, Communication officer, Advisor, and others to draft manuscripts for publication, informal briefing papers, and other evidence-based documentation for dissemination
- Support the Program Manager and Core Project team with quality-checked and timely data for regular donor reports
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, M&E, Statistics, Demography or related field
- At least 5 years of experience working in M&E of WASH interventions, or other Public Health programs
- Experience with the logical framework and M&E methods and approaches
- Demonstrated experience with DHIS2; experience of other HMIS systems in addition is a plus
- Strong data analysis skills, including ability to generate data visualizations in DHIS2, Power BI and/or Excel
- Ability to design and manage DQA systems
- Demonstrated experience working with national-level government stakeholders in the health sector
- Ability to multi-task, coordinate and oversee various workstreams at the same time
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English will be considered as a significant advantage
