Mechanic Assistant – Diesel

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Mechanic Assistant - Diesel, to be based in Beira.

Duties

• Assist the Mechanical Fitter during their day to day role
• Report any damage or accident made during the operation
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly machine and work area
• Carry out any other duties ordered by his superior

Requisites

• Technical Mechanical degree in related field with a minimum of two or three (2-3) years’ experience on industrial environment, in a similar capacity or a similar role in Africa
• Practical experience of carrying out schedule and preventative maintenance activities on all diesel/mobile equipment in an industrial environment
• Practical experience of maintaining Caterpillar mobile equipment
• A thorough understanding of industry standard safety regulations
• Analytical & troubleshooting experience in a wide range of CAT Electronic technician program
• Ability to understand and speak Portuguese
• Must possess basic organizational and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of computer software to include, but not limited to, word-processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation packages, i.e., Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Be able to work under pressure
• Be able to multi-task
• Great attention to detail
