Medium Voltage Terminator

PRI is recruiting a Medium Voltage Terminator, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Duties

• Troubleshoots and repairs distribution systems, including transformers, circuit interrupters and voltage regulators
• Replaces and installs medium voltage overhead, underground electrical circuits and terminations
• Operates medium voltage distribution electrical system
• Adheres to safety standards work ethics, and make use protective gear
• Operates a variety of testing, calibration and repair devices
• Coordinates project managers to review detailed plans, drawings and work plans
• Produced material cost estimates including labor
• Maintaining records related to work performed including use of computers

Requisites

• Diploma/industrial training in electrical
• Valid trade test certificate
• Euro Mould certified terminator
• Heat shrink 11 kV certified terminator
• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a VM Terminator
• Clear understanding of electrical theory and terminology
• Comply with safety and safe working practices pertaining medium high voltage electrical work
• Use of testing equipment to troubleshooting complex electrical problems
• Read and interpret plans, diagrams and drawings
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese
