Mining Engineer

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Mining Engineer, to be based in Tete, Mozambique.

Duties

• Plan and implement extraction systems
• Create transportation methods to allow for the transportation of minerals and metals to processing plans
• Prepare operation and project cost estimates, production schedules, reporting progress, production and costs compared to budget
• Monitor production to assess the effectiveness of operations
• Monitor and evaluate underground performance
• Ensure product inventory control measures
• Use special computer applications to maximize planning and production
• Training and supervising staff
• Attend daily safety and department meetings
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures

Requisites

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering
• At least 5 to 10 years’ experience
• Previous experience within industrial workshop management
• Knowledge of mining planning software
• Ability to communicate clear and concise instructions in a professional manner
• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA laws
• Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement
• Strong Computer Skills
