Project HOPE is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor develops, assesses and evaluates baseline studies. Develops, performance monitoring plans, and performance and impact evaluations in support of the program
- Provides data to ensure effective program implementation, including project baseline, midline, and end line assessment of access, retention and other core components of the program
- Contributes knowledge of a range of approaches to performance monitoring, impact evaluation, and research in areas including design, instrument development, sampling design, data collection, data analysis and dissemination
- Employs a range of methods, including using large quantitative data sets as well as qualitative data. Assists with the use of data to ensure quality of program implementation at all levels
Requisites
- Degree in statistics, epidemiology, or relevant field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in M&E, including the development of M&E systems, indicators, monitoring plans, and data collection
- Knowledgeable of USAID regulations with prior experience working in support of USAID-funded programs strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database applications
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese
