CNFA is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
  • CNFA is currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Lead for the upcoming USAID-funded Feed the Future Mozambique Market Systems Activity. This Activity will facilitate the development of a competitive agricultural market system that is inclusive, resilient, and sustainable in the provision of goods and services demanded by actors. The approach for this activity will help identify and minimize the root causes of market failure that disadvantage and exclude the vulnerable, women, and youth. This Activity will also create incentives for market actors to invest in developing and sustaining productive relationships for the efficient delivery of goods and services and an improved enabling and regulatory environment for agricultural sector growth. This Activity provides USAID the opportunity to target solutions such as: build an inclusive and responsive financial system for rural individuals and SMEs; address the inefficiencies in the inputs distribution system; establish strong and transparent relationships between actors; among others
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the integration of M&E into field-level programming is required, experience managing M&E from a country office is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalizing a comprehensive M&E plan and systems is required; experience doing these activities for USAID projects is preferred
  • Outstanding ability to generate accurate qualitative information and analysis is required and must be demonstrated during the hiring process
  • Expertise in innovative data collection, management, sharing, and visualization is required
  • Familiarity with GIS is preferred
  • Knowledge of agriculture, resilience, livelihoods, and/or food security is preferred
  • International donor experience is required, USAID experience is preferred
  • Fluency in English is required, fluency in local languages is a plus
