PEP is recruiting a Office Assistant - Pep Operations, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Provide administrative, translating and transportation service to the General Manager and the Country Office
- Accompany the General Manager and other authorised persons for the purpose of translating verbal communications from Portuguese to English and Vice versa
- Facilitate the translation of documents from English to Portuguese and vice versa
- Screen Portuguese documents and or promotional material for accuracy
- Engage in administrative and or other office projects when required to do so
- Collection and delivery of official documents from stores and or other institutions
- Drive the General Manager and or other appointed persons under the specific authorisation of the General manager
- Ensure the safety of passengers and vehicles at all times when on duty
Requisites
- Grade 12
- Related tertiary qualification will be a strong advantage, especially in languages
- Strong English and Portuguese skills (Read, speak and write)
- Valid driver’s licence
- 2- 3 years within an administrative role
- At least 3 -4 years driving experience
- Willingness to travel extensively within the country
- Core skills needed: Attention to detail, effective communication, problem assessment, strong relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
