Operations Controller (m/f)

Duties

• Coordinating the clearance, transportation and delivery of shipments to clients
• Taking ownership of each shipment handled, by overseeing the overall operations for clients under your portfolio
• Effectiveness in terms of customer service delivery in line with clients expectations/SOP & KPI’S
• Work closely and hold regular operational interactions with relevant stakeholders by e-mail, phone or in person (clients, customers when it required, suppliers etc.)
• Reporting of daily activities to clients under your portfolio i.e. status reports
• Reporting of daily activities to direct/line manager, address any encountered challenges, concerns as well as suggestions of possible solutions to the relevant concerns
• Self-awareness and initiative
• Prepare Quotations and invoicing within given metrics and milestones using company´s systems

Requisites

• Minimum Academic Requirement Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of work in the Freight forwarding/Transport Industry for Oil Gas Projects
• Knowledge of the Cargo Wise System will be an advantage CW 1
• Strong knowledge in freight forwarding/Transport Logistics management
• Good communication skills to understand the details of client requirements and share information accurately
• Knowledge of the customs clearance processes and procedures
• Fluent in Portuguese English languages (Spoken Written)
• Capable of working in a heavy pressured environment
• Computer Skills (Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access Power point
• Strong and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both accounting and non accounting personnel
• Strong interview skills, ability to ask the right questions to gather and obtain relevant information
• Ability to work independently, as well as maintain a positive working relationship with other Labor Industries staff
• Perform multiple tasks under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and follow through
