Center for Human Services is hiring a PHFS Advisor Consultant for Maputo.
Duties
- Travel to Gaza, Sofala and Zambezia Provinces to facilitate community quality improvement team meetings to help design and implement community-based activities that sustain linkages between communities and health facilities with a purpose of bringing and retaining baby and mother pairs in care
- Every two weeks gather, review, analyze, and present data to ASSIST team to discuss changes and results in improving identifications of mother/baby pairs in communities and linking them to health facilities
- As guided by the Chief of Party, network and participate at community, district, provincial and national PHFS meetings, seminars and learning calls and sessions
- Develop draft weekly updates for Chief of Party for further submission to PHFS steering committee. As requested by Chief of Party, participate in the steering committee meetings
- Jointly with the Chief of Party, participate in weekly PHFS weekly calls with Dr Ram Shrestha, Senior Community Quality Improvement Advisor from HQ
- Jointly with the Chief of Party, participate in monthly PHFS calls coordinated from HQ
- Under the guidance of the Chief of Party, develop technical programmatic updates (including case studies and success stories) that capture knowledge about changes and improvements made by community teams
- Work with Luke Dausse and Ram Shrestha to ensure that data collected is accurate and valid, and capture process and outcome in accordance to indicators developed by ASSIST team
Deliverables
- The consultant will provide the Chief of Party, CHS/Mozambique with the following deliverables:
- Provide the COP with written weekly updates to share with the PHFS steering committee
- Finalize PHFS improvement indicators for Gaza, Sofala and Zambezia
- Provide data analysis reports for Gaza every two weeks. Provide data analysis reports every two weeks on data collected with World Vision in Zambezia and FHI 360 in Sofala
- Provide written progress report for each of the 93 (38 in Gaza, 21 in Sofala and 34 in Zambezia) QI teams on a bi-weekly basis
- Provide written report on data entered into the community registers on a bi-weekly basis
- Provide written report on each of the 12 (4 per province) coaching visits to support QI teams
- Provide written report at completion of 3 learning sessions
- Provide written reports for each of the 3 harvest meetings in Sofala, Zambezia and Gaza
- Provide COP with written monthly updates for 4 PHFS monthly calls
Requisites
- University degree in Medicine., public health , social science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in work with USAID funded programs, or other international donor agencies
- Minimum of 5 year work experience in HIV/AIDS projects
- Work experience in Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) and Nutrition
- Written and verbal proficiency in Portuguese and English
