Plant Construction Manager

Duties

• Provide highly visible leadership in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Production and Quality, to enable a high performing culture at mine site
• Work with the Country Director and Mine Manager to align short term project execution within the broader business plan
• Accountable for the construction activities of the Process Plant and associated infrastructure
• Accountable for the recruitment of the Process Plant team
• Commissioning of the Process Plant
• Responsible for high quality daily and weekly reports as required including cost reporting
• Implement initiatives and process improvement to foster a continuous improvement culture

Requisites

• Relevant Engineering or Science degree
• In-Country Experience. Second consideration given to experience in similar geographical or cultural locations
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in process plant operations within the Mining Industry
• Greenfields plant start-up experience is essential
• Flotation experience is highly recommended
• Leading a process plant team in Africa is desirable
• Fluent in English and Portuguese with excellent written and verbal communication skills strongly preferred
