Production Supervisor

Description

• AflaLivre Mocambique SA is a Mozambican producer and distributor of the granular biopesticide Aflasafe, and a processor of shelled ground nuts for domestic consumption and exports. Our vision is to reduce the aflatoxin levels in Mozambique, to improve human and animal well-being by reducing health risks caused by aflatoxin, and to increase prevalence of high-quality Mozambican groundnuts in international markets and develop a strong local market for aflatoxin-free goods. We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to plan, organize and oversee AflaLivre production lines

Duties

• Plan, organize, and manage optimum day-to-day production operations
• Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time distribution
• Hire, train, develop and supervise manpower for the required operations
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with local standards for production of biopesticides, the labelling, packaging, and storage of Aflasafe for domestic and regional markets
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with local and organic standards for groundnut processing, packing and storage for domestic markets and export
• Liaise with production equipment suppliers
• Develop and maintain quality control processes
• Document and maintain production processes and equipment specifications
• Report to AflaLivre management on production operations, schedules and quality and production issues

Requisites

• Operational experience with production, manufacturing processes, industrial machinery, or other relevant technical background
• Experience from production of pesticides and/or groundnut processing is preferred.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in food Processing, Agricultural Sciences, or Mechanical Engineering
• Computer literacy with MS Office
• Fluent in English

• Outstanding problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and oral communication skills
